ℹ️ For Devon — how this page works (English)
1 · Cards. Talk about yourself, one card at a time: 3–5 short, slow sentences. The grey line on each card is only a starter — say it your way. When you have talked about a card, click ✓ and it flies away. The kids are beginners (A1–A2, 12–14 years old, some older): speak slowly, use simple words, repeat the key sentence twice. Card "The island": today the kids "moved" to an imaginary small island and could take only a few values (freedom, family, friendship, honesty, adventure, nature, helping others, fun, truth) — tell them the ONE value you would take, and why.
Then the kids talk — about you (Devon is … / Devon has …) or about themselves (I am … / I live in …), with the same cards (you bring them all back with ↺). Please react warmly to everyone: Yes! That's right! Great English! — and gently correct at most one small thing.
2 · Speaking time. You run the stopwatches: press ▶ when a child speaks, ■ when they stop. Who talks longest gets the gold medal — no points, no marks. Press 👏 Cheer often — confetti for the child who just spoke.
3 · Ask Devon. The kids read you a question, you answer, then you may ask the same question back.
4 · Board game. You are the lion, the whole group is the owl. You roll the dice for both. When it is the owl's turn, any child may answer. Who reaches the sun first?
